Understand before we build.

Orion8 builds software with an operator’s understanding of the business. We learn how the work actually moves, then decide whether the answer is configuration, integration, automation or something new.

The work

Four ways we are usually useful.

Operational review

Two to four weeks with the people doing the work. Volumes, handling times, where it fails, what the exceptions really are, and what each of them costs. You get a written view of the operation whether or not you build anything with us.

Integration

The systems you already paid for, connected, so the customer record stops disagreeing with itself and nobody re-keys an address for the third time.

Automation

The repetitive path handled end to end, with approvals kept where the decision is genuinely a person's to make.

Custom build

When the off-the-shelf answer does not fit, we build the part that does and leave the rest alone. Smaller than you expect, and documented so your team can own it.

How we engage

Small first. Then build.

The first commitment is deliberately small, fixed price, and useful on its own. Nobody should have to sign a year of work to find out whether we are any good.

01   Conversation

Thirty minutes. You describe the process, we ask the awkward questions about volumes, exceptions and who signs off.

02   Review

Two to four weeks on the floor. We come back with what is happening, what it costs, and what we would change first.

03   A working slice

One process, running against your real data, in front of the people who will use it. Enough to test properly.

04   Build and hand over

The full thing, documented, with your team trained to run it.

05   Support

Monitoring, response and a quarterly look at what to fix next. For as long as it is useful, and no longer.

You may not need custom software.

A good share of the problems we are asked to solve are already solved by a licence the organisation holds, or by a process change that costs nothing. We will tell you that, in writing, and you can decide what to do with it.

Growth shouldn’t mean more headcount.

If volume is rising faster than your ability to hire, that is usually a systems problem wearing a staffing costume. Tell us where it hurts.
